What You'll Do

Possessing a complete understanding of Ropeswing Hospitality Group’s sales offerings, programs and menus, the Sales & Events Manager builds revenue through consistent interaction with the Company’s corporate, non-profit, and private client base.  Establishes trust and rapport with clients to generate revenue through room rental and food and beverage sales.  The Sales & Event Manager services new and existing accounts to ensure repeat business.   

This role is projected to split their time amongst Record and the other Ropeswing properties; as needed, this may look like 60% Record, 40% other entities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling, training and the performance management of Record’s work-as-needed event employee base.  This includes holding orientations, upholding service and compliance standards; attendance; dress code; and clocking in/out.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly event quotas and sales/revenue goals. Prepare lead and weekly sales reports to document progress, keep CRM updated with daily activities.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of all potential venues, capacity restrictions, property layout options and fire code and basic fire plan restrictions to help educate clients how to plan events.
  • Develop long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients by maintaining consistent verbal and written communications and providing good customer service. Communicate with clients in a timely and accurate manner through sales proposals.
  • Negotiate rates and prices within the established goals, and close the sale.
  • Possess thorough operational knowledge of the POS and CRM/invoicing systems.
  • Participate in pre-event meetings, training, and customer service meetings with RSG on-site managers to ensure all space, floor plan and catering/bar contractual agreements are communicated, have been met and followed through accurately.
  • Effectively collaborate with RSG teams to ensure successful events. (e.g. GMs and Chefs on menus and pricing, Accounting to ensure reporting is accurate, deposits and payments are received, and refunds are made in a timely manner
  • Provide on-site run-of-show support, as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Make Us Really Love you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing or Business Administration and 1 plus years experience in an Inside Sales based role (preferred)
